Cotai Strip Resorts Macao will usher in the Year of the Horse at The Venetian® Macao’s expansive outdoor lagoon area from Jan. 11 to Feb. 16, 2014 with “Seasons of Prosperity,” featuring exciting and auspicious flair including fantastic entertainment and activities for visitors and locals of all ages. This festive event is part of the “Prosperity at Cotai Strip” celebrations at Cotai Strip Resorts Macao for the upcoming Year of the Horse.

Organised by Cotai Strip Resorts Macao, Sands China Ltd.’s integrated resort city, “Seasons of Prosperity” transforms the outdoor lagoon area at the iconic Venetian Macao, decorated in festive style to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year holidays with a host of spectacular festivities, featuring 18 uniquely decorated fibreglass horses, a beautiful carrousel, a traditional Chinese archway, a gigantic 40- foot-high peach blossom tree, game booths featuring fortune telling, lucky draws, lucky banner calligraphy and balloon twisting, a real ice skating rink, and more.

The display of the horse sculptures between Jan. 18 and Feb. 16 is in support local art project Anno Equitum, in which 38 Macao local artists are each hand-decorating a two-metre-high fibreglass horse with a Chinese New Year theme. Visitors can view 18 of the beautifully and uniquely hand-decorated horses at the lagoon area, while the other 20 will be on display throughout Macao. Through this event, Cotai Strip Resorts Macao is making effort to contribute to the local creative industry and foster cultural exchange between local artists.

In addition, “Seasons of Prosperity”, a new and enhanced 3-D light and sound show with Chinese New Year elements will adorn the façade of The Venetian Macao 6-10 p.m. nightly from Jan. 18 onward, taking visitors to an auspicious journey beyond imagination; a splendid LED lion and dragon dance also awaits locals and visitors alike from Jan. 31 to Feb. 9. And no Chinese New Year celebration will be complete without the traditional God of Fortune, who will appear at the lagoon area to give away golden ingot chocolates Jan. 31-Feb. 9.
