The Grand Waldo Hotel and Casino hosts the PokerStars Macau Poker Room
On Friday May 23, PokerStars Macau, the first dedicated poker room in Macau, will open at Grand Waldo Casino in Cotai. We intend to become a vibrant center of poker culture, with a rich mix of cash games and tournaments for players from Macau, Hong Kong, China and the rest of the world.
Our cash games will include a variety of table stakes for different players, including 10/20, 20/40 and 50/100 No-Limit Texas Hold’em Poker tables. We will also spread high-stakes 100/200, 200/400 or 500/1000 games (or higher upon request) starting at 8PM on Friday and Saturday nights. Fixed-Limit and Pot-Limit games are also available.
The PokerStars Macau tournament schedule has been devised to cater to players of all levels. For beginning players, we will have a No-Limit Hold’em Poker Tournament Freeroll every Thursday night at 8:10PM which awards entries to each weekend’s regular events (with buy-ins ranging from $500 to $5,000 HKD).

We will have special events every quarter including The Macau Cup (May 23-25) and this September: The Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau!
• The APPT Macau Main Event (September 1-6) will have a $25,000 HKD buy-in and a $10,000,000 HKD guarantee!
• The APPT Macau High Roller Event will have a $150,000 HKD buy-in and also have a $10,000,000 HKD guarantee
PokerStars Macau will run weekly satellites to all APPT events, as well as to the European Poker Tour (EPT), Latin America Poker Tour (LAPT), Aussie Millions and WSOP.
The first Macau Cup will be a charity event with 100% of all tournament entries and administration fees being donated to the Red Cross Society of China to help victims of the recent Sichuan China Earthquake.
